:10 Minute Manicure opens at JFK, more to follow

:10 Minute Manicure, the growing chain of airport-based salons, has opened a branch at John F. Kennedy International (JFK) with plans to open another five locations in the near future.

Co-founder Lorraine Brennan O’Neil told the New York Sun the concept of providing travelers, whose dwell times range from 30 to 90 minutes, with “a quick and affordable beauty break” has taken off since opening the first outlet at Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International (CVG) in 2006.

The new JFK location is near the new $1.3 billion American Airlines terminal. The company has plans to open five more this summer, including sites at Newark-Liberty International (EWR), Washington Dulles (IAD) and Miami International (MIA). A second location at JFK also has been signed.
