Two restaurants at Miami International (MIA) have made The Daily Meal’s list of the 31 Best Airport Restaurants Around The World.
At No. 15 on the list is Versailles Restaurant in Terminal F. The 24-hour eatery offers Cuban sandwiches, salads, desserts and coffee from Cafe Versailles.
Icebox Cafe landed at No. 17, with its South Beach vibe and grab-and-go offerings. Menu items include sweets, snacks, meals, coffee, smoothies and homemade cakes.
The Daily Meal, a website that reports on food and drink experiences, sent its staff to canvass concourses worldwide and compiled a list of more than 100 nominations.
From there, restaurants were judged in two categories: cuisine and style/decor/service. For the cuisine component, judges examined criteria such as menu options, plating, presentation, freshness, quality and taste. In the second category, panelist evaluated the dining experience overall. Each restaurant had the opportunity to voted on twice, and the percentage scores from each category were averaged to determine final rankings.
