60 New Concessions Heading To LAX

Throughout the year, 60 new dining and shopping options will land in Terminals 4, 5, 7 and 8 at Los Angeles International (LAX).

The openings are the first part of a three-year project that aims to revitalize the airports concessions program and is part of the overall LAneXt(TM) modernization program.

The first of these stores, Kitson LA, opened April 2 in Terminal 7. Merchandise ranges from trendy, inexpensive items to high-end clothing and accessories. The first of the dining options will be Skewers by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto in Terminal 5 and Wolfgang Puck Express in Terminal 7.

The company and its concessionaires (which have not yet been announced) must invest at least $81.9M in initial improvements and $16.4 M in mid-term refurbishments to the existing Tom Bradley International Terminal, the new TBIT under construction, Terminal 2 and the airports Theme Building; these new concepts will open beginning spring 2013 through 2014.
