DFW Partners with Giant Innovation On Innovator Program

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) has partnered with Giant Innovation on an effort to share knowledge and experiences garnered from its Everyday Innovator Program for the benefit of airports worldwide.

Since its 2020 launch, DFW’s Everyday Innovator Program has been instrumental in fostering an innovative culture at the airport, driving significant workflow and organizational improvements by empowering employees at all levels, DFW said. Recognizing the wider potential of this approach, DFW aims to extend its Everyday Innovator blueprint to other airports, helping to nurture their potential and promote creativity.

To facilitate this, DFW has partnered with Giant Innovation, a company specializing in building innovation capabilities, to ensure DFW’s insights and experiences can be effectively shared worldwide.

“Innovation has been a cornerstone of DFW’s success and growth since the airport opened nearly 50 years ago,” said Jodie Brinkerhoff, DFW’s vice president of innovation. “Our recently developed innovation training program builds on that innovative spirit, creates a common language and highlights important principles that empower our people to do more with their creative ideas. Through this agreement with Giant Innovation, we can extend our impact beyond our airport and support others in their journey to build innovation muscles, sharing the lessons we have learned with our industry peers.”

Under the agreement, DFW and Giant Innovation will work closely to distill the essential elements of the Everyday Innovator Program into a comprehensive framework that other airports can adopt and customize to their unique needs. This program will serve as a guide for other airports, helping them understand the necessary steps, best practices and strategies for building innovation champions within their organizations.
