The Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL) has won the gold – LEED gold, that is.
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification was given to the airport for its use in building the 1.2 million sq. ft. terminal and concourse with recycled and/or regionally produced construction materials, as well as the steps it took to ensure air quality, conserve water and energy, and increase the use of natural light.
