Burgh Sportz Bar, a Pittsburgh, Pa.-themed sports bar and restaurant showcasing the storied history of the city’s professional hockey, football and baseball teams, is open for business at Pittsburgh International (PIT).
The 530 sq. ft. restaurant on Concourse D is decorated with sports memorabilia and offers sandwiches, salads, soups, entrees and beer.
“Pittsburghers are sports fanatics, and throughout the city’s history, our teams have brought great pride to this region,” says Jay Kruisselbrink, vice president of development for AIRMALL Pittsburgh, which operates the AIRMALL at PIT. “Burgh Sportz Bar not only brings a taste of Pittsburgh to the airport, but it highlights our international reputation as the City of Champions. Plus, passengers can experience the excitement of sports in our region and a great meal at ‘Regular Mall Prices … Guaranteed,’ which is an AIRMALL promise.”
The eatery will be operated by Air Ventures LLC, an Airport Concessionaire Disadvantaged Business Enterprise. A second location on Concourse B is slated to open later this summer, where travelers will be able to buy signature souvenir glasses honoring Pittsburgh’s championship franchises.
