CHS in Talks for New Premium Passenger Lounge

Charleston International Airport (CHS) hopes to bring The Club CHS, a new premium passenger lounge, to the premises in 2019.

“We are building a world-class facility that serves as a gateway to Charleston for our citizens, visitors and for businesses that help us support Lowcountry economic development opportunities. An amenity-rich lounge for passengers is another step in that process,” said Hernan E. Peña Jr., deputy director of the Charleston County Aviation Authority (CCAA).

Texas-based Airport Lounge Development is partnering with food and facilities manager Sodexo and minority-owned Hyde Park Hospitality to design, build and manage a lounge in a third-level space. Food and beverages in the lounge would be available for passengers of all CHS airlines with premium credit cards from Chase Sapphire, VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Diner’s Club International. For others, a day pass would cost $40 per person.
