Colorado Springs Airport (COS) has appointed Alex Kovacs acting director of aviation following current director Greg Phillips’s retirement. Kovacs, who will serve as director aviation during COS’s search for Phillips’s successor, was previously the assistant director of aviation at COS, leading the finance, properties, design and construction teams. Before joining COS, Kovacs served as director of finance at the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve and lead the Colorado Springs AIrport team,” said Kovacs. “Together, we will continue to serve our community by providing the best value to the travelling public and increasing nonstop air service to Colorado Springs.”
