Flu Vaccines Available At Another 3 Airports

Flu vaccines are being offered at three more airports to busy travelers and employees.

At San Francisco International (SFO) and Newark Liberty International (EWR), board-certified health professionals from Harmony Pharmacy and Health Center will be administering season and H1N1 flu shots for $29.99; B12 and pneumococcal injections are also available.

“Busy travelers, airport and airline employees are now able to experience the convenient benefit of getting their flu shots from Harmony Pharmacy located at SFO Terminal 3 and EWR Terminal C,” says Miriam Seiden of Seiden Retail Concepts LLC. At EWR, the shots will be given from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays, and noon to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday; at SFO, hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

At Philadelphia International (PHL), AeroClinic and the Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops are teaming up to offer the injections. The vaccine here is a trivalent vaccine, which contains the H1N1 virus and two strains of the flu.

“Especially with the upcoming holiday season, we want our passengers and employees to be healthy while traveling through and working at PHL,” says Clarence LeJeune, president of the Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops.

Shots are available at the AeroClinic in the A/B link from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $35 for travelers and $30 for airport employees with a valid ID badge.
