Frequent Business Traveler Readers Call SFO Best Airport In The Americas

The readers of Frequent Business Traveler, an online publication written for and by affluent frequent business travelers, have voted San Francisco International (SFO) the Best Airport in the Americas as part of the publication’s GlobeRunner Awards.

“It is very gratifying to be recognized by the readers of Frequent Business Traveler,” says Airport Director John L. Martin. “It has been SFO’s long-standing objective to provide our travelers with unparalleled safety and security, world-class customer service, and outstanding facilities and services. Our selection to receive this prestigious honor is validation of everyone who works at San Francisco International Airport commitment to our goals.”

The GlobeRunner Awards recognize the world’s best travel companies, including airline, hotel, car rental agencies and travel websites. Nominations were made by the publication’s editorial team in more than 20 categories. Voting was conducted online from March 1 to May 15, and nearly 50,000 votes were cast. Winners will be given a personalized award and a donation will be made in their name to the PKD Foundation, which is dedicated to discovering treatments and a cure for Polycystic Kidney Disease, which claimed the life of Frequent Business Traveler co-founder Greg Spira.

“San Francisco International has been singled out by the road warrior readers of Frequent Business Traveler as the Best Airport in the Americas,” says Jonathan Spira, editorial director of Frequent Business Traveler. “Their very selective preferences and extensive patronage of hotels, airlines and everything travel-related make their votes particularly meaningful.”
