Guava & Java, Sweet Treats Lauded As Merchants Of Quarter At PHL

The Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops at Philadelphia International (PHL) has named Guava & Java in Concourse E and Sweet Flights in Concourse C as its respective Restaurant and Retailer of the Quarter for Q3 2011-12.

At Guava & Java, guests will find gourmet coffee, La Colombe, along with smoothies, sandwiches and paninis. There are also locations in Concourse A-East and Concourse B.

Sweet Flights sells sweet treats by the pound, including candy and snack foods, as well as specialty gift items such as souvenirs, greeting cards and plush bears.

“Both of these merchants go above and beyond our customer service standards to treat each passenger as a welcomed guest,” says Anna DiGregorio, director of marketing for the Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops. “I’m proud to recognize the team members at Guava & Java and Sweet Flights for their exceptional work this quarter.”

The recognition comes as part of Philadelphia Marketplace’s Cutting EDGE! Program – Excellence Drives Great Experiences – designed to motivate and reward merchants. Concessionaires earn points for exceeding expectations through customer services and participation in marketing programs. At the end of each quarter, those with the most points are named Merchant of the Quarter.
