LeMonica Hakeem has become the interim director of strategic initiatives at Concessions International, now that Sylvia Ross has resigned her position to begin her own consulting firm.
In her new role, Hakeem is taking over the business development side of the company, meeting with airports with which the company is considering a relationship, leading internal proposals/requests for proposals for bid, exploring growth opportunities outside airports and attending conferences as the face of Concessions International.
Hakeem has held a variety of positions in the company, most recently as director of strategic initiatives and administration.
“After 10 years with CI, I believe I am in the unique position of having touched all facets of the organization and am excited and energized at the prospect of reaffirming our current relationships which make CI so strong and building on that foundation as we seek to seize alluring opportunities and explore new collaborations,” she says.
