HMSHost Opens 1st Airport Locations For Shula’s, Tim Hortons

Shula’s Bar&Grill has made its airport debut at Miami International (MIA), and Tim Hortons Cafe and Bake Shop is now available at a U.S. airport, Port Columbus International (CMH).

“Shula’s Bar&Grill is a special addition to the slate of new dining options we’ve introduced to Miami International Airport, as Coach Shula is a name that means a lot to Miami sports fans,” says Stephen Douglas, vice president of vuisiness development with HMSHost Corp., which opened the restaurant. “We’re excited about this new association and about making the traveler’s day better at Miami International Airport.”

The new restaurant, created by the Shula family of restaurants and named in honor of NFL Hall of Fame Coach Don Shula, offers hamburgers, appetizers, cocktails and wine, with menu features including Sweet Chili Chick Bites, Charcutierie and more; breakfast, salads and desserts are also available.

“Congratulations to HMSHost for opening yet another outstanding dining location at MIA,” says Miguel Southwell, Miami-Dade deputy aviation director for business development and retention. “Our goal at MIA has been to create a sense of place with our concessions, and who better personifies Miami than Don Shula and his homegrown chain of restaurants. We are extremely honored to be the first airport home for Shula’s Bar&Grill and we wish them the best of success.”

Dave Shula, President of Shula’s says, “Shula’s Bar&Grill was made especially for airports to offer a modern and energetic space where travelers can count on getting great food from a legendary restaurant brand.”

The eatery can be found post-security in the North Terminal on Concourse D.

At Tim Hortons Cafe and Bake shop, which has landed at CMH, guests will find coffee, espresso and cold beverages, baked goods, soup and sandwiches.

“Since our U.S. headquarters is right here in the Columbus area, we have many business partners, guests and travelers who frequent our airport,” says Mike Meilleur, senior vice president for Tim Hortons. “We’re thrilled to bring Columbus’ hometown coffee at our hometown prices to all of the airport employees, the airline crews and guests traveling in and out of Columbus.”

David Whitaker, vice president of business development and communications for the airport, says CMH is “excited to be the first airport in the United States to offer the Tim Hortons brand to travelers.”
