HMSHost Opens New Concepts At FAI, BOS

HMSHost Corp. has opened new concepts at both Fairbanks International (FAI) and Boston Logan International (BOS).

The Local @ FAI is now cooking up meals featuring with fresh, local ingredients and region-centric items. It is an original dining concept created by Host.

“HMSHost is proud to partner with Fairbanks International Airport to bring this enjoyable dining environment with great quality menu items that Fairbanks travelers will love,” says Stephen Douglas, vice president of business development. “The addition of The Local @ FAI embraces only the finest ingredients with a décor that creates an atmosphere that gives travelers a true taste of what Fairbanks has to offer.

The restaurant has a bar full of regional beers from Alaska Brewing, Denali Brewing, Midnight Sun and Kassiks Brewing. To accompany their brews, travelers can choose appetizers like Bavarian Pretzels with cheese fondue and Dirty chips – kettle chips topped with brisket trimmings, garlic aioli and scallions. Entrees include flatbread pizzas, salads, sandwiches and burgers. A breakfast menu of breakfast sandwiches, omelets, skillets and baked goods is also available.

As for BOS, a PGA Tour Grill is now open in Terminal B near Gate 7. The restaurant focuses on fresh, healthy meals to fuel an active lifestyle. The opening coincides with the PGA Tour’s Deutsche Bank Championship being help near the airport in September.

“We’re excited to increase our presence in such a great sports town with the opening of the PGA Tour Grill at Boston Logan International,” says Ty Votaw, chief marketing officer for PGA Tour. “HMSHost has done a terrific job of developing the PGA Tour Grill concept at other airport locations, not only as a fun place to eat but as a way to recognize and celebrate the PGA Tour tournaments in those markets.

The menu will feature dishes like New England clam chowder, lager-battered cod tacos, Boston roast beef, fish and chips, and the Wicked Good Burger.
