HMSHost Retains Supplier Diversity Firm

HMSHost Corp. retained Herrera-Cristina Group Ltd. to lead its supplier diversity efforts and help the concessionaire develop a comprehensive strategy for utilizing and addressing the capital issues with its Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program (ACDBE).

Herrera-Cristina (HCG) is a Hispanic-owned management firm specializing in marketing, communications, corporate diversity and public affairs.

“HCG is poised to assist HMSHost in enhancing its ability to foster an environment conducive for inclusion of ethnic and gender minorities in its business development efforts,” says George Herrera, president and CEO, in a statement. “Our goal will be to assist HMSHost as it relates to ACDBE compliance and utilization and to develop market-driven customer-focused strategies to increase and diversify its airport concessions ACDBE sourcing, and to develop a framework for access to capital for ACDBEs.”

HMSHost also unveiled several new concepts at Vancouver International’s (YVR) new West Chevron Pier. They are Milestone’s Grill & Bar, Tim Horton’s, Starbucks Coffee, and Pizza Hut. The new confectionaries are the result of a five-year contract extension the food and beverage giant received in 2006.
