JCDecaux Partners With Verizon On Mobile Charging Digital Stations

Outdoor advertising giant JCDecaux SA has rolled out 169 new digital charging stations at the four largest international airports in the U.S.

John F. Kennedy International (JFK), Newark Liberty International (EWR), Miami International (MIA) and Los Angeles International (LAX) have been outfitted with newly designed charging digital stations that will provide in-demand service to 193 million passengers combined.

Each device has USB ports, regular AC outlets and a wireless recharge device. They also feature two 32-inch digital, high-definition screens for commercials and content messages that will be delivered by Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network.

“We are delighted to have partnered with Verizon for the launch of the largest US airport program of sponsored mobile charging stations,” says Jean-Francois Decaux, co-CEO. “Providing an essential service to travelers and a unique brand experience make these new devices a very compelling media asset.”
