Junior Musicians To Entertain Passengers At AUS

Young entertainers are slated to take the stage at Austin-Bergstrom International (AUS) next week as part of Kid Band Week.

Pre-teen and teen bands will perform on the Asleep at the Wheel stage at Ray Benson’s Roadhouse near Gate 10 post-security. There will be five performances throughout the week from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., with band members as young as 10 years old.

Brothers Glenn, 13, Alex Peterson, 11, make up the Peterson Brothers Band, which kicks off the shows on Monday.  On Tuesday, Livvy Bennett, a 15-year-old bassist and vocalist, will showcase melodic rock. The Aviators, a classic rock group made up of six students ages 10 to 13, will entertain Wednesday. An all-girl string group known as The Apple Trio blends folk, classic, and rock and roll music for a performance on Thursday. Rounding out the week is The Fireants, bringing their sound that covers everything from roots to rock.

“Kid Band Week” is sponsored by Pepsi and Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services.
