LGA’s Food & Shops Names Quest For The Best Winners

The Food & Shops at LaGuardia’s (LGA) Central Terminal has announced the winners of its Quest for the Best program.

The program, launched in 2007, is the Food & Shops’ employee incentive and recognition program honoring the best service providers to the traveling public. It was developed to motivate and celebrate the service efforts of the stores. Stores earn points for mystery shop scores, attendance at training programs, costumer commendations and more. Each quarter, the results are tallied and the store with the most points receives a cash prize of $1,000 and the trophy.

Winners are Discover New York, Annual Quest for the Best Award; First Runner-Up/Food, Figs Restaurant; First Runner-Up/Retail, Life is Good; Second Runner-Up/Food, Asian Chao; Second Runner-Up/Retail, InMotion Entertainment; Most Improved/Food, Angelina’s Metro Market; Most Improved/Retail, Brookstone; and Service Spirit Award, Auntie Anne’s.

“We developed the Quest for the Best program as a way to incent our tenants and to reward their continued hard work.” says Lillian Tan, vice president and general manager for MarketPlace. “We congratulate all of the winners and commend them on their commitment to providing superior service to our customers.”

Winners were announced at an awards ceremony and brunch March 14 at Figs Restaurant; it was held by MarketPlace Development, the retail development company that develops and manages the Food & Shops program.
