The Food & Shops at LaGuardia (LGA) are using a new way to get word out about what’s going on at the retail stores and restaurants.
It has launched a Twitter account, @shoplaguardia, which will offer real-time information along with news about special events, discounts and other things. The Food & Shops will also use the account as a way to gather travelers’ and customers’ opinions.
“The Food & Shops social media campaign on Twitter is a smart and modern way to interact with our target audiences at LaGuardia Airport,” says Lillian Tan, vice president/general manager of MarketPlace Development, the retail development company that manages the food and shops program in the terminal. “By strategically using our @shoplaguardia account, we have an opportunity to share relevant information with our customers, as well as collect vital information from our customers in order to provide the highest level of service.”
As a way to encourage people to become Twitter fans, it will be launching several sweepstakes programs this year including giveaways, special discounts and other offers.
