Thanks to a sponsorship agreement with a local television station, passengers at Bob Hope (BUR) will have access to free Wi-Fi throughout the passenger terminal for the next five years.
ABC7, the West Coast flagship of the ABC television network based in Glendale, Calif.., already has a presence at the airport. In 2005, HDTV overhead screens were installed and show ABC7 programming in passenger seating areas at the airport’s 14 boarding gate hold rooms. Alliance Airport Advertising, made the arrangements for the free Wi-Fi service and the HDTV screens.
“We were very pleased to be able to bring the Bob Hope Airport and ABC7 together and to build on that association with this free Wi-Fi opportunity,” says Shauna Forsythe, president of Alliance Airport Advertising. “It will help connect passengers to their businesses and friends quickly and conveniently when they are at the airport, while providing ABC7 an additional way to be in touch with the local community.”
