The Nuance Group has entered into a joint venture with The DFASS Group and PMA, MCD Inc. to open four Liberty Duty Free stores at Chicago O’Hare International (ORD).
The stores, located in Terminals 1 and 3, are temporary locations; they will offer liquor, tobacco, cosmetics, fragrances and confectionery. The duty free store development is expected to be completed next year; it will have an initial five-year term, with an optional extension for another two years.
“With the addition of Chicago O’Hare International Airport, we are pleased to continue our growth in North America and look forward to offering a great duty free experience,” says Richard Rendek, chief executive officer of The Nuance Group, North America. “I am confident we will be able to add to the award winning customer experience that Chicago is known for, especially once the new store developments are complete.”
Benny Klepach, CEO of The DFASS Group, notes: “We are very excited about initiating duty free operations at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. This concession represents an important new venture for our retail division and further expands our relationship with The Nuance Group.”
