Oakland International Airport (OAK)’s Terminal 1 will now offer travelers three new locally focused retail stores. These include Roll East, a news and convenience store featuring locally sourced snacks, beverages, souvenirs and travel accessories operated by Marshall Retail Group’s WHSmith North America; Oakland Supply Co., a specialty retail store operated by Oaklandish featuring leather goods, jewelry, apparel, and other gifts from Oakland businesses like Stash Candle Co. and the Weekend Store; and Lake Merritt Essentials, a retail store operated by Paradies Lagardère featuring snacks, goods, electronics, and health and beauty products. Seven new stores have recently opened at OAK with 16 new concepts expected to open by the end of the year.
“We are pleased to announce that seven stores have now opened under our new retail program,” said Craig Simon, director of aviation for Port of Oakland. “It is great to see all the local vendors being featured in our new stores, allowing our passengers to feel the spirit of the Bay Area when they shop OAK. We look forward to the nine more retail openings that are still to come.”
