Ohio Travel Association Honors CLE With RUBY Award

The Ohio Travel Association has given Cleveland-Hopkins International (CLE) a RUBY Award for its marketing and advertising efforts in 2011.

The state’s leading travel and tourism industry leaders recognized the airport for its radio advertising and 2010 annual report during the awards ceremony, an annual event during the Ohio Tourism Conference.

“Once again, we are honored that OTA has chosen to recognize our efforts in advertising and marketing,” says Airport Director Ricky Smith. “To receive a RUBY Award and a Citation of Excellence proves to us that we continue to move in the right direction and our efforts to market and brand the CLE name is truly paying off.”

The RUBY Award was for the best radio commercial for the second annual CLE Plane Pull; the Citation of Excellence was for the airport’s annual Community Report – 85 Years of Going Places.

The RUBY – Recognizing Uncommon Brilliance in the Travel and Tourism Industry – Awards recognize outstanding efforts in advertising, marketing and public relations in the Ohio travel and tourism industry.
