TBI Airport Management, Inc. and the Sanford Airport Authority opened nearly 14,000 square feet of retail space at Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) last week.  Existing duty free operator, Aldeasa US, Inc. recently expanded its Alpha Duty and Tax Free store by 2,880 square feet with an investment of approximately $1M.  While Hudson Group, new to SFB, completed construction of 11,000 sq. ft. of specialty retail space with an investment of $3.7M.

The Alpha Duty and Tax Free store is located in the international departure area of Terminal A.  Hudson’s new shops include Hudson News, Discover Orlando Sanford, Indulgences and KidsWorks located in Terminal A.  Hudson also offers Euro Cafe, Gallerie and two Hudson News locations in the Airport’s Terminal B.

“These exciting new shops by Hudson and Aldeasa are symbolic of the long-term relationship we intend to cultivate with these two companies,” says Larry Gouldthorpe, president of TBI Airport Management, Inc. “We appreciate Hudson and Aldeasa’s commitment and confidence in us and our airline customers during these challenging times as demonstrated by the significant investments both have made here.”
