OTG has opened Tsukiji Fishroom, a new takeaway sushi restaurant in Newark Liberty International’s (EWR) Terminal C. The restaurant flies fresh fish directly from Tokyo’s famous Tsukiji Fish Market for passengers traveling through that terminal.
In addition to Tsukiji Fishroom, OTG operates two other sushi restaurants in Terminal C, Surf and Caps Beer Garden, which OTG will soon also supply with the same high quality fresh fish it uses for Tsukiji Fishroom. Fish offerings will be season and based on availability, in order to maintain high quality standards and freshness. Initial fish selections will include hotate, amadai, hamachi, saba and tako.
“We’re excited that United customers will now be able to enjoy delicious sushi in our terminal that is on par with New York City’s best Japanese restaurants,” said Jill Kaplan, New York and New Jersey president for United Airlines. “The New York Times described our terminal as a ‘culinary oasis’ and we continue to work with OTG to create a world-class airport experience for our New York area customers.”
