Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has named Tracey Payne as acting commissioner for the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA). She replaces Jamie Rhee, who announced her retirement in February and officially left the CDA earlier this week.
Prior to her appointment as acting commissioner, Tracey served as the CDA’s managing deputy commissioner and chief administrative officer, overseeing day-to-day operational aspects of finance, payroll, workforce development, intergovernmental affairs and professional development. Her experience also extends to the Chicago Department of Law and the Department of Buildings.
