Proposals For STL Due

Proposals for a Solicitation for Bids issued by Lambert- St. Louis International (STL) for news and gift and specialty retail space are due June 28.

The nearly 15,000 sq. ft. of space up for bid is comprised of locations found in Terminal 1 (pre-security), A Concourse, C Concourse and Terminal 2.  The chosen operator will be granted an agreement consisting of a ten year term commencing on February 1, 2013 with the director holding the option to add one additional three year term at his/her discretion.  The operator will also be required to make an initial minimum investment no less than $5M and a mid-term reinvestment (including but not limited to re-concepting and re-branding) of no less than $1.7M.

In addition to the news and gift shops offering such standard items as newspapers, magazines, books and non-perishable foods, the airport is hoping to add a balanced mix of concepts featuring local and regional brands.
