San Antonio International Airport (SAT) will hold a pre-submittal conference this week (Feb. 22) for operators interested in bidding on its concessions Request for Proposals released last month.
The RFP is for a food, beverage and retail prime concessionaire to operate in SAT’s Terminal A. The 10,127-square-foot space is divided into ten parcels to be occupied by specialty retail shops, casual and quick-service dining, and coffee shops.
The RFP will be awarded to a single bidder to lease, operate and manage these concessions for a period of seven years, with options for three one-year extensions.
The airport requests Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation to make up 24.45 percent of gross annual food and beverage sales and 20.19 percent of gross annual retail sales. The ideal mix of concepts will “give passengers a sense of San Antonio and the comfort of choosing national brands.”

All proposals must be submitted by April 18.
