San Diego International (SAN) launched its valet service at a grand opening ceremony April 1.
SAN Park Valet Parking will be provided at Terminals 1 and 2. Departing passengers will pull into a valet area and check in with the valet. When returning, they will pick up their luggage and then head to the valet cashier. Payments can be made by credit card or cash, and travelers will then take their receipt to the valet at curbside, who will bring their vehicles.
“The service is available whenever a passenger needs it,” says Steven Shultz, deputy director of public and community relations at the airport. “If a valet attendant is not present at odd hours, a call to 619.400.2121 is all that is needed.”
Rates will be a flat $30 for a 24-hour period, and Shultz says the expected gross annual revenue for the service is about $3M.
