STL Chooses Design Consultants For Renovations

The first round of design consultants have been selected for a major renovation campaign at Lambert-St. Louis International (STL).

The Airport Experience Program will modernize and restore the main terminal and concourses. Proposed improvements include restoring the terminal’s domed ceilings, adding new restaurants and other concessions, overhauling STL’s roadway sign program and modernizing ticket counter operations, among other things.

The first project, the restoration of the ceilings, is slated to start mid-July, and the baggage system upgrades will begin early next year. The rest of the projects will begin after their respective design phases are completed.

The consultants are:
–    Kwame Building Group of St. Louis: Program Management.
–    Teng & Associates, Inc. of St. Louis: Dome renovations design, Main Terminal Ticketing Hall Main Terminal Ticketing Hall and Mid-Level architectural renovations design; Concourses Architectural Renovations design.
–    Kozeny-Wagner, Inc. of St. Louis: In-bound conveyers and baggage claims design/build.
–    Apple Designs, Inc. of Raleigh North Carolina: Entrance monuments and wayfinding signage design.
–    Burns and McDonnell of St. Louis (Office): Main Terminal Ticketing Hall and Mid-Level Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Special Systems (MEPSS) Renovations design; Concourses Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Special Systems (MEPSS) Renovations design.
