SYR Names Terreri as New Executive Director

Jason Terreri has been named the new executive director at Syracuse Hancock International (SYR), replacing Christina Callahan, who left earlier this year to become the deputy general manager at LaGuardia Airport (LGA).

Terreri comes to SYR from Sanford, FL-based Airports Worldwide, where he was senior operations project director, responsible for a slate of executive management projects, including: airport planning and development activities, strategic deployment of large-scale capital projects, and oversight of air service development activities for multiple airports.

Terreri was selected following a national search on behalf of the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) by Steven Baldwin Associates.

“We are excited to have Jason lead the SRAA into our next phase of growth and development,” says Jo Anne Gagliano, SRAA board chair in announcing the appointment. “His record of success and his experience will be enormously beneficial as we continue to improve the passenger experience, expand air service, and modernize our facilities.”

Terreri, who had also previously served as assistant director of airports for Horry County Department of Airports in South Carolina – operators of Myrtle Beach International (MYR) – and as the interim director of new business development for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL), begins his new job May 13.

“This is an exciting time for the airport and I look forward to contributing to the development of an expanded customer base, the development of additional top-notch facilities at the airport, and getting to know the wonderful central New York region the airport serves,” he says.
