TPA Releases New Airside D Renderings

Tampa International Airport (TPA) released new renderings of its Airside D project at the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority Board of Directors meeting.

The $1.5 billion project, which broke ground in December 2024 and is scheduled to open in 2028, is designed and built by Hensel Phelps, HNTB Corporation and Gensler. The airside will feature 16 gates, a TSA security checkpoint, an international processing area, two lounges, glass boarding bridges as well as new dining and retail concepts. Board members have additionally approved an $81.5 million construction contract with Crisdel Group Inc. to redevelop the site that will become Airside D, with plans to build a new concrete aircraft parking apron, drainage, airfield lighting and hydrant fuel system for each gate.
