Westfield Hosts Day Of Events For Travelers At ORD

Westfield Corp. treated travelers in Terminal 5 at Chicago O’Hare International (ORD) to a variety of events as a part of Westfield Cares on Aug. 6.

The daylong event included a pop-up DJ dance party, dining and retail giveaways, face-painting for kids, comedy and a bespoke bicycle that delivered sparkling beverages.

“A world-class customer experience is more than great shopping and dining. It’s people who make the difference,” says Eileen Hanson, vice president of marketing for Westfield’s airports division. “We believe in creating a personalized journey, a journey marked by engaging service and memorable moments to ‘wow’ our customers. That’s what Westfield Cares is all about.”

Westfield gave away more than 250 gift bags, and company ambassadors surprised more than a dozen passengers throughout the day by paying for their purchases during check-out at retailers; some diners, too, were treated to their meals.

The day was documented through posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the tag #SayHappy.
