YEG Unveils Three New Concessions

Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and concessions operator ECG Ventures II celebrated the opening of three new concessions in the airport’s post-security  Domestic-International Departures Lounge: OEB Kitchen & Bar, an all-day airport version of the Alberta-based breakfast eatery; Avalon, an elevated small-plates restaurant also featuring cocktails curated by award-winning mixologist Kaitlyn Stewart; and Wheels Up Burgers & BBQ, a quick-serve burger and barbeque joint featuring Alberta beef.

“We’re proud to introduce three outstanding new local restaurants, bringing more flavour and variety to the YEG experience,” said Carmen Donnelly, vice president of passenger experience and terminal operations at YEG. “Offering high-quality dining options is an important part of our goal to make every visit to the airport not only seamless but also enjoyable. These additions reflect our commitment to enhancing our passenger experience and transforming the airport into a destination where memorable experiences are made.”

“Today is a special day as ECG Ventures II is thrilled to launch OEB Kitchen and Bar, Avalon, and Wheels Up Burgers and BBQ at YEG,” added Gerry Inglis, CEO of ECG Ventures II. “Our long-standing partnership with the Edmonton International Airport has paved the way for this exciting new chapter. With a shared commitment to excellence and innovation, we are thrilled to bring a fresh, exceptional dining experience to travelers. This restaurant is more than just a place to eat, it’s a reflection of our dedication to quality, service, and the vibrant community we’ve built together with the airport. We look forward to welcoming guests from around the world and offering them a taste of what makes Edmonton so special.”
