YUL Extends Contract With HDS Retail

HDS Retail North America has received an extension of its retail contract at Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International (YUL).

The company operates 16 locations featuring brands such as RELAY, Virgin, Mexx, Brookstone, Artizan, Van Houtte café©, Mini-Marche and Dé©couvrir un Pays.

“HDS Retail has worked very closely with [Aeroports de Montreal] in the last few years as we have progressively rejuvenated our facilities,” says Jean Teasdale, vice president of real estate and commercial services. “Throughout this process, HDS has demonstrated both flexibility and creativity. Their stores and their staff continue to play a major role in providing our travelers with a distinct experience and we are therefore pleased to extend our relationship.”

Gerry Savaria, president and CEO of HDS Retail North America, is also very pleased with ADM reaffirming the relationship.

“Starting with the consolidation of Mirabel airport commercial flights into Dorval airport in 2004, the team at ADM made all the tough decisions and stayed true to its vision to completely reinvigorate the traveler experience at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport. Today, Montreal-Trudeau is a great success story in the airport industry but also with the local community.

“We truly appreciate this vote of confidence from ADM and are very appreciative of being provided with the opportunity to play a role in the airport’s success,” he continues.

The new agreement is expected to generate close to $200M in revenue over the term of the extension.
