BDL Launches GoodMaps Navigation System

Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) has announced the launch of GoodMaps, an indoor navigation and digital mapping app designed to support passengers traveling with disabilities at Bradley International Airport (BDL).

GoodMaps, which can be downloaded for free on iOs or Android, uses advanced digital mapping technology to create a three-dimensional layout of BDL’s facilities, providing step-by-step and turn-by-turn instructions in multiple languages with directions tailored to passengers who are blind, low-vision, deaf or hard-of-hearing. The app includes accessibility features such as step-free routing for passengers with limited mobility as well as real-time updates to reflect airport changes.

“We are proud of the partnership between Bradley International Airport and GoodMaps,” said CAA executive director Michael W. Shea,. “Together we are helping to ensure that everyone who comes through Bradley International has a seamless travel experience.”
