The Greenville-Spartanburg Airport Commission has named current executive vice president Kevin E. Howell as its next president and CEO of the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District. Howell will begin his role on January 10, 2026 and will be responsible for operations and development at Greenville-Spartanburg Airport (GSP),succeeding retiring CEO Dave Edwards. Howell first joined GSP as deputy director of properties and development in 2011 before being promoted to COO in 2011 and executive vice president in 2025. Prior to his tenure at GSP, Howell served as director of properties and development at Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) as well as in roles at Little Rock National Airport (LIT) and Nashville International Airport (BNA).
“I’ve worked alongside Kevin for almost two decades, and I’m confident he will build on the momentum we’ve created and continue leading the district with the same vision and values that have guided us to date,” said Edwards. “I’m looking forward to continuing to lead the organization in the months ahead and working closely with Kevin and the team to ensure a smooth and successful transition.”
