BWI, AIRMALL Team Up To Offer Free Wi-Fi

Travelers at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall (BWI) who want to surf the Internet can now do so for free.

Each 45-minute session begins with a brief advertisement, and customers may use as many sessions as they’d like. For those who would rather have a greater bandwidth or an uninterrupted, commercial-free session, a fee-based Wi-Fi connection is available.

“This new, free Wi-Fi service will provide an improved level of convenience for our travelers,” says Paul J. Wiedefeld, BWI’s executive director. “BWI Marshall emphasizes customer service and efficiency for our passengers. The improved wireless amenity will allow travelers to stay connected.”

The airport teamed with developer AIRMALL to provide the free Wi-Fi option.

“We know travelers today leave the house with a host of wireless devices, from laptops and tablets to wireless phones,” says Brett Kelly, vice president of AIRMALL Maryland. “People want to stay connected when they’re on the road, and this complimentary wireless service makes that even more possible.”

The new service is powered by Advanced Wireless Group.
