Celebrity Chef Signs On To Open 2 Restaurants At ORD

Rick Bayless will be bringing his signature Mexican fare to Chicago O’Hare International (ORD) this fall.

The famed chef-restaurateur, cookbook author and television personality has signed a license agreement with current food and beverage concessionaire HMSHost Corp. to bring the restaurants to Terminals 1 and 3.

“I am thrilled to add Frontera flavors to O’Hare’s culinary offerings,” he says.

Stephen Douglas, vice president of business development for HMSHost, says the company is “excited to add Rick Bayless and Frontera to the mix of restaurants we operate at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Frontera will be an exceptional enhancement to the dining experiences at O’Hare.”

Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner Rosemarie S. Andolino says: “We are delighted to enhance our restaurant offerings by welcoming Rick Bayless’ outstanding regional Mexican cuisine to O’Hare International Airport,” said Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner Rosemarie S. Andolino. “O’Hare is the global gateway of our city and region, and we strive to meet Mayor Richard M. Daley’s goal to provide amenities at our airports that reflect the diverse cultures of the city. We are delighted to introduce O’Hare’s passengers to Chicago’s own ‘Celebrity Chef.'”
