Coleman Named Head of Fayetteville Regional

Dr. Toney Coleman has been named the new director of the Fayetteville Regional Airport (FAY) in North Carolina after serving as airport deputy director and interim director for the past few months.

“Dr. Coleman has more than earned this new role as director,” said Douglas Hewett, Fayetteville city manager, who made the selection.  “During the past years we have worked together, he’s demonstrated his prowess as a subject matter expert in all things related to the airport, and as a superb leader. He will be instrumental in moving the airport forward on a positive trajectory.”

Prior to taking over as interim director in April, Coleman provided oversight for airport administration, maintenance, custodial, fire, law enforcement and support services in his role as deputy director.

As director, Coleman will focus on overseeing more than $53 million in renovations in and around the airport and attracting new carriers to FAY.
