Local favorite Federal Donuts & Chicken has opened at Philadelphia International AIrport (PHL). The airport outpost, part of PHL’s “Founded in Philly” initiative and located in the Terminal B/C connector, will offer the brand’s signature twice-fried chicken, fresh donuts and coffee courtesy of James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs Chef Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook. Federal Donuts & Chicken’s PHL location will be operated in partnership with Jackmont Hospitality and ACDBE partner Brenda Branch of High Places Concessions.
“Opening at PHL is a proud milestone for Federal Donuts & Chicken,” said Federal Donuts & Chicken CEO Jeff Benjamin. “This city made us who we are, and we’re honored to bring a taste of Philly to travelers from around the world. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our bold, joyful food in such an iconic location and excited to be part of the airport’s celebration of local flavor.”
“We’re thrilled to welcome Federal Donuts & Chicken to the airport as part of our Founded in Philly program, which celebrates local businesses and brings an authentic Philadelphia experience to our guests,” said Department of Aviation CCO Kate Sullivan. “This beloved hometown favorite is sure to win over travelers with its hot, fresh doughnuts, unique fancy flavor doughnuts and beloved chicken sandwiches. Their focus on hospitality is a perfect fit with PHL’s family of Philly favorites.”
“We’re proud to offer travelers the chance to discover or revisit a homegrown favorite that’s as fun and authentic as the city itself,” added Mel Hannah, vice president and general manager of MarketPlace PHL. “Federal Donuts & Chicken captures everything we love about Philly food — it’s creative, comforting and completely original.”
