Fresno-Yosemite International director of aviation Russell Widmar has been appointed treasurer of the California Airports Council.
Widmar joins other California aviation leaders who make up the council’s five-member executive committee. As treasurer he will be positioned to serve as council vice president in 2013, and then president in 2014.
The California Airports Council is comprised of aviation executive directors and chief executive officers from the state’s 29 commercial service airports. The council advocates and educates on issues facing commercial airports.
