More than 200 golfers helped raise
$12,500 for Make-A-Wish Canada as part of HDS Retail North America’s 10th
annual Charity Golf Classic last month at the Club at Bond Head in Canada.
Golfers included vendors, business
partners and staff took part in the event, which featured a day of golf and an
evening with a live auction.
“Our team always looks forward to
catching up with our business partners at our annual golf event,” says Jonathan
Alpert, executive vice president of merchandising. “We truly appreciate the
vendor support and the many sponsors, allowing us, once more, to raise funds
for a very worthy cause. This year feels even more special to be able to raise
this money, given the economic environment and the fact that companies have cut
back on their expenses.”
The company has teamed up with the
organization over the past several years and has raised more than $150,000 to
help its cause.
