HMSHost Extends Contracts At 2 Airports

HMSHost Corp. has extended its contracts at Miami International (MIA) and Tampa International (TPA).

In Miami, HMSHost and its partner Tinsley Family Concessions Inc. will offer dining options through 2011.

“We appreciate the opportunity the Miami-Dade Aviation Department has given us to continue offering Miami travelers outstanding guest service from their favorite restaurant brands,” says Steve Johnson, senior vice president of business development for HMSHost.

HMSHost recently opened a Ciao Gourmet Market and two BACARDI Mojito Bars, and plans an additional Starbucks. Current offerings include California Pizza Kitchen, Quiznos, and Casa Bacardi.  

Ciao Gourmet Market, the American version of Ciao Ristorante, based in Milan, Italy, offers pre-packaged gourmet pasta salads, sandwiches, fruit trays, vegetable crudité©s, yogurt fruit parfaits and more. BACARDI Mojito Bars feature mosaic glass wall tiles, stained metal panels and expertly made BACARDI Mojitos. Both can be found in Concourse D.

World Wide Concessions also partners with HMSHost at MIA to offer Chili’s Too, Chili’s Grab N Go, Sam Adams Brewhouse and Budweiser Brewhouse.

At TPA, HMSHost’s contract has been extended for five years and will expire in 2015.

 “HMSHost continues to offer exceptional airport dining and shopping experiences with outstanding guest service to our airport travelers and we look forward to opening these great new concepts for Tampa International Airport’s passengers to enjoy,” says Louis Miller, executive director of TPA.

Landside, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Brioche Doree, Zia Juice and Baja Fresh Mexican Grill will join Burger King, T.G.I. Friday’s and Starbucks. New landside shopping venues Harley Davidson, United Colors of Benetton, Tommy Bahama/Vera Bradley, News & Books and Flip Flop Fun will supplement Ron John Surf Shop, Mindworks, Wilsons Leather, Inmotion Entertainment, Bijoux Terner, Sunglass International, Florida Shop and Sports Scene.

Airside A will have Sam Snead’s Tavern, which will honor the golf great and serve chicken, ribs, seafood, beef, salads and sandwiches; there also will be a full bar.

Airside C will have a new Sweet Factory while Popeye’s Chicken & Biscuits and a new Chili’s Too-To Go will open in Airside F.
