I-Tech Opens In San Diego

Edge 1 Cellular LP, in conjunction with HMSHost Corp., has entered San Diego International (SAN) with its fifth I-Tech airport store, and the company has plans to expand the electronics retail concept.

The store sells brand-name electronics including headphones, MP3 players, DVD players and a range of accessories. David Schiess, chief executive officer, could not be reached for comment.

The company has an agreement to open four stores at Tampa International (TPA) in September, all of which will include its new “I-Tech X-Perience,” according to a statement. Its other four existing stores include two at George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), one at Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA) and one at Orlando International (MCO).

Edge 1 is certified as an airport concessionaire disadvantaged business enterprise in Texas, California and Florida, with additional certifications pending.
