New Pet Areas At STL Offer Animals Some Relief

People have rest areas, and now pets traveling through Lambert-St. Louis International (STL) have them, too.

As part of the Lambert Advantage program, which focuses on new or improved services and amenities throughout the airport, animals now have two places to relieve themselves and get some exercise.

“These are fun, miniature dog parks that are easily accessible outside Lambert’s
terminals,” says Lambert Director Richard Hrabko. “We know this is an important service and should ease the worry of many of our travelers, especially those who must fly with service animals.”

Each of the pet rest areas are 400 sq. ft., is gated and has park benches, trash cans, plastic mitts for cleanup and fire hydrants.

The Main Terminal location has synthetic turf and is on the upper level just outside Exit MT-6. The second location, at the East Terminal, has natural grass and tree shade and can be found just outside baggage claim on the lower level at Exit ET-15.
