Paradies To Open 2 Stores At SGF In Early 2009

The Paradies Shops will have two stores in the new midfield terminal at Springfield-Branson National (SGF) when it opens early next year.

CNBC News will feature an online station on which customers can check their stocks or view the latest headlines, as well as a recharge station where they can charge their laptops and handhelds. The Paradies’ Read & Return Program, through which customers can buy a book, read it, return and get half of their money back, will also be available.

The other concept, Route 66 News and Gifts, will offer news, magazines, books, convenience items, snacks and souvenirs. Customers and airport and airline employees also will be able to check their blood pressure at the shop.

“This is very good news for airport customers,” says Gary Cyr, airport director of aviation. “Paradies provides something that is sorely missing in the world of commercial aviation: customer service.”

The airport broke ground on a new terminal in June 2006 on the west side of the airport. It is slated to open in early 2009.
