San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has announced a series of performances celebrating Black History Month to be held in the airport’s Terminal 3 food court rotunda. On February 7, SFO will host performances from Ramona Laughing Brook Webb, an Afro-Creek Muskogee queer performance poet and poet in residence at the UCSF National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health; and Howard Wiley, a Bay Area-based jazz saxophonist and composer; and on February 20 will host performances from Marcus Shelby, a San Francisco-based composer, bassist, bandleader, educator and artistic director of Healdsburg Jazz. The performances will be accompanied by a photo display and social media profiles commemorating prominent Black leaders in and outside of the aviation industry.
