Travelers Greeted By Festive Activities At PHL

The Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) will host a variety of holiday events for travelers this month.

Retailers will display special gift tables to showcase popular items outside of storefronts. The Food & Shops is offering a free snowflake pendant necklace from Taxco Sterling to shoppers buying $100 of merchandise or more from any combination of Marketplace retailers. The necklace will be available through December 24, or while supplies last.

Santa will greet passengers young and old until December 24 throughout PHL’s seven terminals.

Passengers can also hear Carolers dressed in Victorian finery performing traditional holiday songs throughout the airport on various days.

Throughout the month of December, the Food & Shops annual holiday gift wrap will be staffed with Liberty USO volunteers who will wrap gifts purchased from any airport retailer for free.

The Food & Shops will present a $5,000 donation to the Liberty USO and offers an opportunity for the community to contribute by making donations at the USO office, Terminal A-East, or visiting them online at www.libertyuso.org.

“We are proud to support the Liberty USO and the services they provide to military families in our community,” said Clarence LeJeune, president of the Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops. “We hope to put PHL passengers in the holiday spirit with our annual gift wrap and other festive activities.”
