2 Airports Offering Flu Vaccine

In preparation for flu season, Newark Liberty International (EWR) and Philadelphia International (PHL) are offering the vaccine to travelers.

At EWR, travelers can visit Harmony Pharmacy near Gate 91 to get their shot; injections are $35 and are given by a registered nurse. They are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week throughout flu season.

“We strive to partner our airport clients with retailers that offer the latest products and services that people want,” says Ken Buckner, senior marketing manager with Westfield Concession Management. “Harmony Pharmacy’s flu shot program is a perfect example of a retail partner offering airport passengers and employees a quick, easy and extremely beneficial service.”

At PHL, AeroClinic, the airport’s on-site health clinic, will be administering the vaccine. Travelers can get them at the clinic, which is in the A/B Link, or in the B/C Connector in front of Brookstone. Shots are $35 for travelers and $25 for airport employees with valid identification.

“We strive to keep our passengers and employees healthy during flu season,” says
Clarence LeJeune, president of the Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops. “Having an onsite health clinic is especially beneficial for the safety and well-being of
everyone here at PHL.”

Hours for flu vaccinations are Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
